What is a TweetUp?

It’s a “meetup” of individuals that are involved in or want to learn more about Twitter. Most often, they have never met in IRL (in real life) and a TweetUp provides the opportunity to meet face-to-face. TweetUps can be held in coffee shops, lounges, hotel  lobbies, restaurants or even at your local Tasti D-lite. There could be three or 100+ people attending at one time. The main objective of the TweetUp is to mingle and get to know everyone in more than 140 characters!

Be Social!

Bring a friend if you are attending your first TweetUp. This is the time to make new friends offline. TweetUps that are held due to a conference, seminar, training, etc will draw Twitter users from across the globe. Whether you are attending the main event or not, take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the TweetUp! If there is an attendance list provided on the TweetUp site, look it over, start following the attendees so when you meet at the TweetUp you know a little more about them.
